"...simply because there is an unprotected legacy product in the physical world, is completely without logic or merit."

yeah man, that guy's right. screw the physical world!
Off topic here, but can someone please filter this Bombaclott tool? Having a plug for his crappy website in every single engadget comments section (in order to better his google pagerank, no doubt) is a little bit over the top don't you think?
@25

"...'Sony Sensor Stick' controllers...."

"No I am not happy with my MacBook Pro...."

you fail at this article.
I can't see ANY parent dishing out $1,000 bucks for a console, let alone the required game-or-two AND extra controller. I predict the PS3 in Australia is set to be a "wow looks cool, can't wait till it comes down in price, lets go play the demo unit and then buy an 360" event, for quite a long long time.

Personally? I've preorded my Wii already, from Toys R Us Australia. They're offering a free game with any pre-order! So I'll be set up with 2 controllers, and two games (Wii Sports and Zelda) for under AU$500!
you're fullscreening windows on a 24" display?? for shame, for shame...
"...the competition would have moved on to the X-Box 780 and Wii x2...."

360 x 2 = 780? Your maths is deliciously baffling!
"...(she wouldn't get a new phone until the 8801 was available)..."

ouch. just ouch. i've often thought that B&O gear was only in the realm of the rich hen-pecked husband - now I know.
@ Ben

That's no mockup, that's a guy who converted his Nokia phone into a iPhone-esque design with a custom case and custom OS skin.
What I'd really like to know is how exactly do you say that crazy collection of consanants? Krazyer? Kazer? Krrrzer?

Help me Motorola! I need vowels!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
