Actually, not a bad start for a simple, elderly/child/disposable crack dealer, easy-to-use-push-da-button model. I think there definitely market out there for this concept, with some mods. The manufracturers have been chasing the teens and tweens; now its time to look at the baby-boomer/ssn'ers as a "growth" market. Add a hi-vis, brighter, larger screen, add some serious decibels to the ringer, boost the button size a touch more; add location-based services functionality, and an E911/"help I've fallen and I can't get up" button. A pacemaker/defib function might be over the top, though; but hey, maybe a remote, re-boot phone number for pop's ticker...?
This is why industrial designers should not be allowed to design product until they have had at least a modicum of experience trying to sell products first.

Hmmm...do I want a phone designed by some kids in art school who are still angry at their parents and experimenting with new fashions in clothing, or a phone designed by someone who had fat fingers, poor hearing, wears glasses and has to drive a lot for a job?

And by the way Nokia..it's a PHONE, not a "User Experience" or a "multimedia computing device", or whatever. KISS, or KISS your business goodbye. Duh.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
