Am I too late? Maybe next time.
@kittridge I think this is coming to t-mobile, as well as the Nokia n900. :P
@dinoSnake Regardless of what you say the new breed of touch controlled devices, iPhone, Droid offerings, Nokia n900, Palm Pre/Pixi, and even the storm(I'm sure I missed some but you get the point). All seem to be at the forefront of innovation while windows mobile is definitely lagging behind. You can say what you want, but the numbers speak for themselves and winmo is losing huge market share not gaining and none of the tech blogs are to blame. Let's hope winmo7 can rectify that. As far as the capacitive vs. resistive issue, I see your point, but I live in TX, and will never have to wear gloves during the winter so that's a non issue for me.
@dinoSnake Give me a break, while I enjoy reading Engadget as much as the next person, I'm pretty sure the general public doesn't. Even if they did I'm pretty sure it hasn't impacted the millions of people worldwide that have chosen NOT to use windows mobile. Also you're trying to tell me that while every other mobile OS is pushing out updates to improve the functionality of their phones. MS has been chugging right right along for 3 years now with basically the same OS no complaints? Your sir have displayed MS fanboyism in it's finest form!
Honestly I thought this was a fairly decent review. I don't see how anyone at this point can honestly defend windows phone 6.5?! Their market share is in the dumps compared to Adroid, and iPhone OS and for good reason. It's honesly just not that finger friendly, compared to the other two.
I came from tmo to AT&T for the iPhone when my contract is up the n900 shall be mine!
Verizon must be hurting if they feel the need to go after Sprint like this. Low blow on their part.
@JS For what it's worth, everyone I know that has a Blackberry for business use either has an iPhone or something else for personal use.
@milkywayer Someones ALWAYS gotta bring up Apple. Theres one in every bunch!
I've never had any problems with AT&T, but I think the iPhone is such an appealing device to the general public here in the states, that people will sacrifice and switch networks for this device. However opening the handset to other carriers doesn't seem like a bad idea either.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
