Next year, when the faster, more capable and hopefully better looking nissan hits the road the GTR will be a has been also-ran. So, my 15 minutes of fame choice would be the GTR.

The Shelby Mustang will ALWAYS be a Shelby Mustang. It's a car I'd want to keep and happily drive the rest of my life.

Shelby for me all the way.

Now a tougher choice would be a 911 or a Shelby. Both are keepers.
:) Maybe those VIPS could go to the UAW Country Club, or the Old Age homes scattered around the Detroit area to see where our money went. I don't think much of it is going into building actual cars.

Ford's got some interesting cars now, both in Europe and in the USA. I think they'll continue to gain market share for a little longer, at least.

Not taking Govt. money in the USA is helping on the PR front as well. Overall they seem 75% to where I think they should be product-wise. A huge step up from 10 years ago.
Just another govt. run boondoggle. We are being governed by fools and we are even more foolish for electing them.
I was wondering how Ford was going to manage this problem. Sounds like a good plan to me!
I'm frequently amazed how well Ford Sync actually works when I drive my wife's car. It's a great system and the Work Solutions option looks really nice too.
Back home where I grew up a bunch of biker chicks needed beer money, so they opened up a topless car wash in the street in front of their house. I think they lasted a few hours before the cops had to break up the crowd that had gathered.
I want one of these so badly. Congrats Ford on making something lustworthy. Keep up the good work. This and that 911 Turbo from yesterday or the day before and I'd be set.
Dan, I don't want to belittle auto workers, especially since some of my own family members work in car factories, but have you heard of climbing up the ladder and wanting to make something of yourself?

You start out screwing in Bolts for $10 and hour when you are a kid, if you are a good screwer, you move up to more skilled/better paying jobs. Its how people better themselves.

We don't all aspire to $75,000/year McDonalds jobs flipping burgers.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
