Nope, they're taking US citizens money and paying for its development and production.

If one person forces you to hand over half their wages it's theft. If ten people force you to hand it over, it's organised crime. If a government forces you to hand it over, it's perfectly "legal".
yeah, not only is it the wrong area, it's also the wrong country....
I just bought an XPS m1330 and installed ubuntu on it (vista? pffft!). It had a broadcom card. Had to install restricted drivers but the distro recognised the card and prompted me to install it over a wired network. In other words, worked for me.
Oh, and the price is due to increased brokerage and tax charges for importing into Canada. I've done this. It's a complete pain in the ass and very expensive as you have to use UPS, who suck up here.
Koolu are legit, they just have a crappy website. They're official openmoko distributors.
Here's one then: I have a hp kb-1033 keyboard. It has a single line enter key and I have to backspace far too often. because I've hit \ for the eleventy-millionth time today.
er, what? the screen on this is higher res with much greater dpi than the iphone. Sure, it doesn't have multitouch but it's fine to use without it.

And yes, I own a freerunner.
seems I did misread, it wasn't clearly written. searching for phenom 9950 shows up it being a quad core.
I sort of see your point (although 125w was for the three core one if I read it correctly) but it's still a doubling of power for 1/3rd extra core at how much more powerful?

The 4400+ was more powerful than some of its predecessors but still used less power than some of the other processors at the time, especially the later pentium 4s.
Maybe it's just me but 125w is power intensive, is it not? I've one of the lower power 4400+ which is 65w if I remember correctly. Of course these are much more powerful but still, what happened to power saving being important?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
