Oh boy (comment #20) -- I completely and wholeheartedly disagree with ever single point you brought up. Thanks for playing with words, but since they're meaningless, I'll move on ;-)

Who cares if we're living longer just to be ravaged by drug-induced medical nightmares inside our bodies; I'd rather live 50 years in complete health than 100 full of suffering with all the fake, synthetic junk that exists as a direct result to all the "fluff" you reference. If grad school produces that kind of thinking, then the education system is about as screwed up as the food and drug industry.
ehh...and Cingular fanboys come out of the woodwork. verizon will stomp at&t like the bottom-feeding carrier they are. period. and, we will hear crying from those that moan about anything bad for at&t.
umm, what? this story looks fine using the source for further reading. what is the big deal
Commenter #3: LEAST relevant? Are you off your rocker? If you think Google is valued appropriately, give me some facts. Bzzztt -- there aren't any.

Snarky - yes. Least relevant - not on your life.
*sigh* -- and, the Windows Mobile fanboys begin. WM5 is junk (JUNK) compared to RIM's solution. Can't speak to Palm.
Well, although I am an AIM fan, I don't use any AIM-branded client precisely because they are HUGE (memory-wise) and take forever to load. Instead, I chat with AIM folks all day using Trillian (www.trillian.cc), a very lightweight, multi-service IM client that works great with both AIM and Yahoo! Messenger. I'd love to come back to the AIM-branded client, but not as is - I'm not in love with bloat. Ciao.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
