One of the reasons I jumped AT&T back in February was that they did not give you the student discounting if you had an iPhone on the account. Has this policy changed?
This is available through Cydia under messaging, in a package called "ActivateMMS2G" You don't need to add any additional repository to access it, it will be available with a stock Cydia install. For detailed directions on how to get it up and running, google the program. It's a LOT less complicated than whatever method was listed here.
So is this the official build that we should be getting OTA next week?
Hey guys, Jim here. I am running OS X 10.5.6 on an Intel 2.4gHZ Macbook Pro (2007 model). Lately, this thing has been getting really, really hot. I recently installed iStat to have quick access to my Mac's temp, and its been reading over 200 degrees Fahrenheit during more intense app usage.

I've tried a lot of things, fresh OS X installs, laptop cooling pads, but none of it seems to work. A quick Google search told me that my laptop's innards might be clogged with dust, blocking its airflow. So, since this computer is out of Apple's warranty, I'm thinking of opening it up and using some compressed air to clear out some of the dust. I've done plenty of hardware stuff on desktop PCs, but this would be my first laptop opening. What do you guys think?
It's not a program, I do tend to check the Activity Monitor on a regular basis, and I actually give my MBP a fresh install every few months. These heating problems can occur on a fresh install with nothing else running but Safari.

Q: My Macbook Pro has running hotter and hotter these days. A quick search online suggests that there might be a dust build up blocking airflow. How would I go about cleaning it safely? It's one thing to open up my MBP and start blowing around compressed air, but I hear that's not too smart.
Does this mean that Gears of War will finally work?!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
