I had all sorts of crashes...

I tried to update my phone and it froze midway and I lost my backup...and unfortunately, I never fully backed up my phone before. Iphone 3GS. Also, when I shut down the phone, the home screen usually pops up and I have to slide to unlock the phone...then it shuts down. Worst OS upgrade ever. Apple, fix this crap.
