Yosef,

1. Mine has never restarted.
2. The phone has a proximity sensor. Move your damn face away from the phone.
3. That's funny, because I just forwarded one. Click and hold on the message you want to forward.
4. See above.
5. I'll give you that one.

Will somebody on this website please read for once?!?! To all these people talking about wanting to get a Droid on launch day, but now won't, this goes into effect of the 15th, NOT today, NOT the 6th when the Droid launches, but the 15th! Get your Droid on launch day, and get a $175 ETF rate. Easy as that!
It does seem pretty fishy, for several reasons.

It looks like a wireless controller, so unless it was plugged in, it wouldn't be on 40 minutes later. I know he claims the dog somehow turned the system on, including the controller, found an item to purchase, and added the points, but I don't buy it.

I expect the dog let it slip in an interview that they "did it for the show."
No word at our store about the early hours yet, but we did receive 249 Droids and 160 Eris phones. And the Chocolate Tou.....sorry can't even finish typing that out. I lost interest in it.
UnixSystemsEngineer,

Are you purposely being ignorant or are you truly that way? You obviously don't understand what "market share" means. It takes the cell phone market as a whole into account, which includes carriers that do not carry the phone. It doesn't mean "oh let's calculate 5% of VZW and that's how many we'll sell." Also, there are an estimated 6.4 million iPhones ACTIVE (not just sold) in the US. Keep in mind this article was posted even before the 3GS launched.

Now, let's take a look at that article you posted. It claims the market share is about 5%. If you read it even half-assed you can see it can be expected to rise up to 12%, which is MORE than double, which shoots down your 4M (and at one point your less than 1M) prediction.
If you purchase the phone online you get an instant rebate and free overnight shipping.
Anthony I suggest you first learn what you are talking about before claiming others are full of s***. 4G Wireless is the name of the authorized retailer company.

Wait!!!

Maybe that iPhone prototype never went missing at Foxconn. It's been there they whole time! They just aren't loyal and couldn't see it!
Dear Gregory McKenna,

We did not put receivers in iPods. Just Zunes. Thank you for the brilliant idea though. It somehow escaped our thoughts.

Sincerely,

The Mafia
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
