These have been around for years. My 5 year old Sony Minisystem came with a free adapter to plug from the PC over USB to it's optical in port. It was called a Sony PCLK-U5 (CAV-U5) adapter, and it looks like there is on available at this address:

But yes, some Creative solutions also feature this port.

$500 seems a little steep in my opinion!
Oh great, another reason to worry about getting our phones pinched!
Ok, sorry to avoid the hot topic that seems to have arisen over the number of iPhone posts here on Engadget, but I have a question relating to the actual device.

There is a lot of hype relating to the free wifi access with certain tarriffs. Will it be possible to use bluetooth to connect your iPhone to your PC/Mac, then use the free WiFi on a 'big screen'? I expect that any answer will probably also relate to 3G-BT-PC access also, but if not, any ideas on whether this will function the same as most other phones?

Also, I know it's frighteningly early to query, but any ideas if/when any 3rd party may make a xenon flash addon, as one of my major reservations from finally changing away from Sony Ericsson to the Fruit's new effort is the lack of flash.

Many thanx in advance.

Just a quick correction: OpenCL is actually called 'OpenCL (Open Compute Library)' according to the Apple site.
MacBook - OpenGL Graphics Test 23.36 ??? Has someone omitted a one from the start of that?

Is that correct? I know that its running the Intel Intel GMA X3100 Chipset, but can this be true?

The X3100 supports OpenGL 1.5 so a little suprised this figure is SO low.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
