They can test wherever they want, what counts is the official EuroNCAP testing. And that is done somewhere in Britain. Not even this ADAC test counts for homologation. Just another PR action from the ADAC.
Well, the problem is the management of that whole company. And there is only one top management for both NA and EU operations. GM Europe has been in a very very bad shape for the past 8 years. Now, it's at least getting some decent products on the market (Opel at least). Not great, or good, but decent. So let's not get too overexcited.

Save Opel? Yes, but for the sake of the jobs at Opel's suppliers. Far more then the 26k jobs at Opel itself. Cause Opel/GM is simply wasting the talent of their European employees right now.
True, Ford Europe is getting loans backed by at least the Swedish and the Romanian governments.
Hyundai and Kia have gone a long way in terms of quality. In Europe, they're approaching VW quality!
Cadillac sold 4,598 cars in 2007 in Europe. Total sales for GM in Europe where at 2,181,502 the same year. They seem to include Russia in the European operations.

Not really leaving Europe. They just want the Germany, Spain and the UK to buy up a stake in the European company.

Today, the German media eventually did a background check of Opel, and found that it doesn't even have its own bank account. The German company only owns the plants. The technology and everything else is licensed by HQ in Detroit. The German company is owned by a Spanish holding company, and by a Swiss one. The Swiss one, supposedly is the European top management, but is listed as a consulting partner for the European operations. All the other production plants scattered around Europe are in a similar situation.

The situation of the development centers is not clearer. They don't seem to be connected with any of the European structures.

This whole organizational scheme seems fishy. Looks more like a money-laundering business, then a car manufacturer.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the central console of the Tahoe looks as if it came straight out of a Korean car, from the early 90s.

Hahaha, even if they buy Fords, it would still be okay, as most are produced in Germany anyway.

Opel and Ford Europe mainly operate from Germany, with a few assembly plants spread around the continent. Ford Europe is almost a complete different company from Ford North America ... They just happen to be part of the same Corporation. But design, manufacturing, and most of the strategic decisions and financing is done independent of the HQ. So, by all practical purpose, Ford Europe is a German car manufacturer, just like VW, and Daimler, and BMW, exact that the ownership of Ford is mostly in American hands, and that of Daimler, in Arabic hands.
Man, even if it were inferior in other tests, the first one, emulating the riverbed should have you sold.

The Toyota was a shocker!! Hard to believe that Toyota is also building the Land Cruiser!

You should show these videos to the UN and all them African leaders. Ford could get some extra pennies from selling the truck to them.
