Wow, I never thought I'd see the day someone begged to keep prices for service high, which is the basically the main message of this piece and the rest of you people.
I never understood what the big deal is with tethering. Why is Sprint against this? What does it matter where the data finally ends? Data is data, whether it stops at the phone or a connected comp.
Since 2005? A mere FOUR years? That's a lifetime to you? How old are you, like 10? Umm, here's a clue: eventually EVERY company and top selling item gets overtaken. Just ask GM, Xerox, Seiko, IBM, Standard Oil, etc. about how they could never be dethroned. Shit even your precious Apple used to own 100% of the personal computer market at one point. And one day, the iFone and EyePod will be dethroned. It's the way things work, NO ONE ever rules forever.
I had no idea many people placed so much importance on a CHILD'S GAME. And make no mistake, that's what it is, a game CHILDREN play. Meanwhile, still no cure for cancer.
I DID try it. i found that kicking a child's ball was very easy action to do. And I found that I did it very well. I struck the ball, the ball moved. I had no idea that such an action impressed the rubes.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
