Hope so, they said paid apps were coming in Jan or Feb, looking forward to it because there's a few developers holding off releasing their apps until then (like satnav!)

these aren't "normal" photo frames though, things move forward, it's called technical advances, things evolve, just because it doesn't do what something did decades ago doesn't mean it's not better

Blu-ray supports 720p, 1080i and 1080p (as well as SD resolutions) using WMV-HD (VC-1), h.264 and MPEG2 codecs
AVCHD supports 720p, 1080i and 1080p using h.264 codec (also known as AVCHD!)
