D - I agree with you. I posted a thread here about this problem: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=358849

I am hoping others who have noticed a serious degradation in gameplay, performance and increase in system/games freezing up and problems overall due to this horrible patch will come forward.

Same here. The patch screwed things up a LOT more.
I get disconnected from games every 2-3 games.
Games freeze all of the time now.

The patch did nothing for me except cause problems I never had before.

I have played for 4 hours and rebooted my XBox 4 times so far due to games freezing online, or issues getting into games.

It's ridiculous!
What about competition? What happened to having several licenses so companies compete and offer cutting edge products, superior service and of course competitive pricing? That is slowing going away as the nation's largest companies are buying the cell carriers up and merging them together.

Just a few years ago, a market such as my home town had the choice of 7 national providers we now will have only 4 with a small regional provider. Not good for the consumer.

I can see loosing one, but this trend is just going to continue. Your worries about ringtones, UI and rate plans are just a small part of the picture when years from now when you realize that big business is going to own everything you use and touch and you will have to comply or "Join IN". With 2-3 carriers (or less who knows) you will see fewer options because they don't need to compete or offer you what you want. What choice will you have?

Again... not good for the consumer at all.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
