I was looking very forward to getting this phone for months since I own the Sprint A-900 which is also referred to as The Blade. Although it is similar in appearance, it is not similar in features. As stated in my Cons, the phone does not remind you that you have a voicemail. If you missed the original voicemail alert, you are screwed. You will have to continue to open up the phone if you are expecting a call/message. There is no blinking light or a beep reminding you to check your voicemail!! Also, there is NO FLASH on the camera which makes taking pictures that require extra light pointless. Also there is no Service Light letting you know that you are within the service range.
To summarize, also this phone is pretty on the outside, its lake of needful and practical features out ways the beauty of it. I wound up returning the phone back to the Sprint store 3 days later. I hope that by me contributing here helps others make a more informed decision on whether or not to purchase this phone.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
