Nice. Would this work for other phones too? Imagine in a few years where computers and laptops are obselete and you carry these things with you to effecitively create your screen anywhere. Now that's awesome!

I hope the Android and other phone platforms would take advantage of these devices as well. I'm an iPhone owner, so I guess I can't complain, but choices would be nice!
I think apple can make mistakes that could hurt its market shares. I think there's a huge perception whether a company is with the consumer versus when it is not. Consumers paid for Apple's product, why make it any harder for them?

That's pretty crazy. Does anyone know if they would release the Android platform over in UK/Europe as well? I wrote some thoughts about what I think Android needs to do to compete with the iPhone (this free thing makes it even harder): http://www.openxfer.com/wordpress/2008/06/10/what-the-android-needs-to-do-to-compete-with-the-iphone/

At this rate tho, I wonder if it would even matter.
I think what's as important as whether the Android will ship is whether it would make a difference or dent with the announced iPhone. Anyways, I'd like to share on some thoughts as to what the Android could do to compete with the iPhone: http://www.openxfer.com/wordpress/2008/06/10/what-the-android-needs-to-do-to-compete-with-the-iphone/?33
The keynote was ok, but the Apple software release was definitely pretty cool. It was nice to see that rumours of the GPS became true, and the $199 pricetag is a shocker. With that, I thought about the Android and how it'll compete with Apple and thought I'd share how Android could be competitive with the iPhone. http://www.openxfer.com/wordpress/2008/06/10/what-the-android-needs-to-do-to-compete-with-the-iphone/?1
Damn. With all these new features, GPS, a potential price drop, I feel bad as an existing iPhone owner. However, I'm equally interested in the software changes that we would see. There are 10 things I hate about the iphone, http://www.openxfer.com/wordpress/2008/06/06/ten-things-i-hate-about-iphones-2/ and I must admit that most of these are not hardware related. Although I'm excited to see GPS, I guess we can kiss Garmin goodbye...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
