It actually makes sense to me. An iPhone is probably the most intensive data 3G device ATT uses (Blackjack II being no. 2 and probably to be supplanted by the BB Bold when released). The more of them out there the more strain on the system and if the iPhone is actually pulling more power than budgeted for the more likelyhood of system drops. I just hope they fix this because I waiting for the new BB and they may delay the release until this issue is cleared.

I don't know, does anyone else think that this looks a lot like the SE z780a, which has been promised for ATT since Q2 but hasn't shown up yet. The only difference, that I can see, is that the colors are different. Otherwise the specs look almost exactly the same. It's really suspicious, especially since SonyEricsson doesn't list a TM506 (or any clamshell model with a 506 number) on their website.

1) Add voice dialing
2) Uncripple the bluetooth to allow for 'beaming' of contacts and to import vcards (vcal & vcontacts) from e-mail
3) Add cut and paste at least in the contacts editing area

I'm not as much disappointed in what new things they didn't add as to what they still haven't fixed.
The iPhone is still missing some fundamental (IMHO) functions that just about every other phone has.
These are:
1) Lack of voice dialing
2) The inability to import contacts from a sim card (I mean really, even the 'throw away' phones can do this. I'd be moving up from a phone to my first 'smartphone' and no way do I want to re-enter over 200 contacts. Having to edit I don't mind, although with no 'cut & paste it will be a chore.)
3) The inabilty to use bluetooth to 'beam' photos, contacts, etc to another phone. Again this is a real no-brainer just about every bluetooth enabled phone I've ever seen can beam small bits of data to another phone.

The fact that most of these functions can be enabled on a jailbroken phone tells me that the iPhone is capable of doing these things but Jobs and the development team didn't feel the need to implement them.
