Yes it will great if both of these technologies merged, it will be very helpful for consumers only. Also a great impact of this will be clearly visible on mobile industry. Both are having there own specialities. Bluetooth is best in its connectivity whereas UWB is best for its speed. Even I also believe that IEEE stamp need not be there for technology.
Finally as bluetooth is becoming more and more popular in the recent day there will be a new revolution in the near future

Bluetooth is becoming more and more popular now as days. Even all manufacturers have started making their mobile phones bluetooth enabled whereas nokia is not the only brand which has bluetooth enable devices. Yes as my analysis nokia is selling more bluetooth enabled devices either headset or mobile phones than anyother brands.

As Bluetooth is very cheap and the range for devices are constantly increasing, it will definitely break the market and I am 100% sure that Bluetooth will the most popular device in the upcoming day
Thanks

yes Evan I was always looking for something more. And sanddisk and transflash are constantly introducing high gb memory cards. This is very light in weight + it is really very helpful to my music player.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
