Best part of reading through the gushing comments of the Zune lovers (astroturfers) in this thread?

The people praising how good it looks. And by "it" I mean THE BOX.

Just imagine what would happen if people who bought an iPhone/iPod were to comment in a similar fashion about the package it was sold in. They'd be laughed off Engadget by the Apple haters.

It's a BOX people. Get over it.
It's basically a cool way to keep a stylus with the device.
I bet you can't.

Enjoy your...

1GB storage.
No 3.5mm jack.
1GB/mo 3G data limit.
Fatter, heavier form factor.

Yeah, this brick just beats the iPhone all to hell and back.
Nope.

iPhone FTW.
It's WTF, genius.
The entire device is plastic and looks cheap, so I highly doubt the screen is high-quality glass like the iPhone.
THIS is the vaunted iPhone killer we've been hearing about for months??? LMAO.

Fugly.
According to Walt Mossberg who got his hands on a demo:

"It’s stubby and chunky, nearly 30% thicker and almost 20% heavier than the iPhone."

Nice job, HTC.
"For this price it would be kinda hard not to pick up"???

You realize that's a whopping 20-buck savings off an 8GB iPhone 3G? And that this wonderphone has 1 GB of memory? Yeah, that's a FANTASTIC deal...if you're just a bitter Apple hater.
No. They really don't.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
