I don't think Telus will do anymore, since they offer unlimited DATA anyway. They will prefer if you watch movies on your WIFI network.
However, this phone ain't no iPhone killer at all. Windows Mobile is so bugged, people are returning unit everywhere. Telus really should focus on technology to stay competitive, instead of increasing their ARPU. ;)
It was obvious that the Iphone, now geared for business and MS Exchange, along with a reasonable plan, would hurt too much Telus/Bell. So Rogers came with this stupid data plan instead of starting a new war on price with them.
Rogers + Telus + Bell = Collusion. And the Canadian gov is totally sleeping on this.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
