They just posted the official plans for México and they are HIDEOUS!! The most expensive is around $80 USD, and ONLY HAS 200 mb!!!! That's a steal. Each aditional KB is 4 cents, so it goes REAL HIGH if you use maps with GPS or even the email!!!!!
I was so hoping to buy it but now I don't know. They can give you an unlimited plan but it starts at an extra $54 USD!! That means $130 USD plus tax and it is SOOO NOT WORTH IT.
Somebody knows how much mb it takes to use it moderately? Let's say, just e-mail, maps (for the gps) and 2 or 3 webpages only?
Would I surpass the limit of 200 mb??
(I think I'd better stick to my unlocked iphone for now)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
