Wow, way to totally confuse the hell out of everyone.
Windows Mobile is horrid. That is reason alone to pass on this, granted most HTC WinMo devices have excellent specs. My wife received her HTC Ozone back in July and hated it, the camera is a dismal 2 MP without auto focus for heavens sake, plus its d pad is outdated. This is almost 2010 not 2003. I have played with a HTC Touch Pro 2 and that device is nice, too bad it runs Windows Mobile. I have a Tour and the camera is great, anyone that says BB's cant take good pictures obviously hasnt tried one lately. Just check out crackberry.com and the Tour picture section

I am waiting for a high end HTC device running Android, now that should be a game changer.
It seems pretty smart to offer cash for code, also seems fairly stupid to flat turn down "a bucket of money."

Ive seen quite a few comments from Australian readers on this subject and they all say the same thing, that our baking system is in the dark ages. For years I have realized this and keep wondering why people still use checks, especially employers. I often get paid in checks and I hate it. I use USAA and can deposit it from home, but I would rather we all move away from checks, its so antiquated! Seems you Aussies have a better banking system
While membership has been opened up, you still have to live in the city where the branch is located (San Antonio or Phoenix) if you have no military association. My brother gained access to USAA this way.
I havent used checks for many years as well, but here in the States they are still accepted in many places, although the number of businesses that accept them are dwindling. USAA is my bank of choice, they are ranked #1 in the USA to work for and are #1 in customer service. The main reason they utilize this kind of service is because they only have 2 walk in branches, one in Phoenix and one in San Antonio and most members are all over the world so they need some alternate method of getting checks into their system. We live in neither Arizona or Texas and whenever someone writes us a check or when my job pays me, I have to deposit it this way. While I could open an account with a local bank, this is so much more convenient.
Pork sandwich??
Fuck you Apple. I cant believe you pulled the Google Voice app as well as making Google Latitude web based. I cant stand your business practices and your over controlling App Store and approval process. If you do come to Verizon, Im sticking with Blackberry. You're lying about jailbreaking iPhones. Unlocked phones have been on wireless networks for some time now, dont give me that shit. Has anyone taken over cell towers yet? Not to my knowledge. Yes you deserve to die and I hope you burn in hell.
Yeah, WTF Apple? I guess you've invited the Federal Government to finally step in and give consumers a bill of rights. we need all devices to be free, I dont want to be told what apps I can have and which ones I cant. Fuck AT&T and Apple!
BGR did a write up about that very issue. Because of RIM's top rated security on their devices, the OS has become a little long in the tooth. Most business users are hanging on to their Blackberry's for this very reason, besides have you ever tried to type an email on a touch screen device? It's cumbersome to say the least. We are all hoping for a revamp of the OS in the near future, and many will defect if RIM doesnt get their act together. I would say most are very loyal BB users and will give RIM a chance to come through in the clutch.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
