5 socket plug eh? Did I ever tell you my plan to do a better version than 6-minute abs?
If you ask me, it's too little too late. Not by much, granted, but it needed to launch 3-4 months ago. It'll still sell briskly, but mostly to fanboys. Apple won't be losing sleep, nor will HTC or Google.
This screen would be awesome for photo frames which have always needed to be non light emitting to be truly effective replacements for normal photos. The refresh rate wouldn't be a problem there either.

If your thumbs are transparent, how you going to get them looked at?
It's all about market segmentation and maximising profits. I don't know why anyone is surprised at this or thinks that MS shouldn't do it. Think about how many different versions of each model of car there are.
Looking at the packaging, I suspect it'll be Nyko, but it's not on their site yet:

Yeah, HTC must be really smarting if the sales of the HTC-built X1 hit sales of their Touch Pro!
"OR MMI from Multi Media Interface. i may be a grammar/spelling nazi, but i sure do hate you acronym nazis"

Well get it right then!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
