@matthew2 Also by your statement Verizon should be considered the premier android provider since they are the only one's with a Android 2.0 device out on the market. Sprint has only announced they are going to make the updates while T-Mobile announced a month ago that they are going to do the updates. Sprint seems to be in second to last right ahead of at&t which has maybe 1 Android phone on the way (with 1.5)
@matthew2 Who said any of those devices are not getting the update? Samsung has stated that the Behold 2 will at least get 2.0 and the only phone that is really iffy on getting the update is the G1. So please check again when you make posts.
I hope this includes the Behold II please let it include the Behold II
Also it should be noted if you purchase from Clear's website you can make monthly payments on the modem instead of buying it outright.
@Jimbo Not always true. I lived near Midway airport in Chicago (two blocks away). Last summer we just got cable in the area. I'm not talking about me personally but Comcast just started offering it then and no one else was there to provide cable before that. This isn't some slum area either. . Also Comcast doesn't cover all of the Chicago suburbs. We have WoW, Mediacom, and RCN filling in a lot of those spots so prices and service vary. My Aunt is looking into this service cause they don't need the full speed of there cable modem and they will save $10-$20 a month if they switch. Also it's a replacement for a home modem so there is not going to be a 5 or 10 gig cap. Expect it to be at least 100gig's
Hasn't there been pictures of this for awhile now? Why has it yet taken a flight to outer space? Are they just showing it right now in hopes to get more funding because in actuality it still needs a lot more work? I would say do this kinda stuff after it has reached outer space and celebrate it then.
@technogecko6
Does the G1 have a microprocessor? This is from Samsungs "tweets"

"The Behold II has an integrated 528MHz ARM11(TM) applications processor and a 256MHz ARM9(TM) microprocessor. "
I think the ARM9 microprocessor is only used for phone but it kinda has 800mhz. :)

This controller has got control of me.
The voodoo has worked I want one really bad.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
