In Venezuela their service is so bad; they're known as "Malestar"
Malestar = That feeling you get when you eat something that doesn't sit well in your stomach.
Cingular decided to take a differnt approach to "video calling" after realizing that this feature implemented as a two way "Video Call" was a big flop in the UK. Cingular is taking a different approach to the feature after doing customer surveys. After this study was finished it was discovered that one would be more willing to accept a Video "Video Share" than in a two way "Video Call".

As for the CU500 "CU" doesn't stand for "See you" It stands for Cingular UMTS.
Hey! let's not give him a hard time for his pics. Maybe the pics are blurry cuz he was shaking from the excitement. Or probably he's got one of those undercover cameras (a la 007) At least it's something. :)
Is this even legal?
flamer's girl.
FYI The only thing that is slowing the deployment of UMTS/HSDPA for Cingular is network integration. Cingular will have UMTS/HSDPA in 100 markets (if not more) by the end of 2006. And many more in 2007. Nothing will stop that, just because at first there's been a few 3G markets here and there doesn't mean that they'll continue to be deployed at this rate.
WTF do you get all this EVDO being faster than UMTS? Do some research please. It's not like we're only deploying UMTS anyway, we are also deploying HSDPA at the same time. Do you even know what speeds HSDPA can reach??? Apparently not. Otherwise you wouldn't say crazy things like that.
No can stop Cingular in the commitment of becoming the most highly regarded wireless company in the world. No one.
Q2 closes tonight, let's see those numbers and then decide who is AND will continue to be on top of the rest. :P
To me cingular will never be number two again. Unless Vzw buys Alltel.
I agree with Josh. Cingular adds more than any other carrier in the industry. If it wasn't because our churn is higher (dropping very quickly though) Verizon has every reason to shake in their panties. What's gonna happen when network integration is complete? How do you think our quarters be? Intergration is only 60% complete and we are already tied on net adds.
Network integration will bring chrun even lower, and that's a fact. What will be of Vzw when they can no longer say they have the most reliable network? There won't be anything left to brag about. Because we all know CDMA phones (especially Vzw's; suck!)

Oh and this is for flamer's girl: Don't hold your breath on Cingular being number two again. It AIN'T happening.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
