Good thing I bailed on the Sidekick over a year ago now. I would've been in a world of hurt.

And, if it's still the way it was, you couldn't backup your data without paying extra for the application.
Can you not read the image? It says upgrade price.
HIP sucks. No one goes to that mall for anything.
It may just be me but this seems much more complicated than an iPhone.
I would love a set of these.
It was canned because of developer issues, as noted in the comments, and the cost for the space was too much for it's location. And, if I recall, it wasn't even ground level but second level. Not worth the cost.

Don't know if North and Clybourn is the best area for this. Too much traffic, too many reasons to not go there. Most people will probably still flock to Michigan Ave. because it's just down the Red/Brown/Purple line.
I've been eyeing these...
You apparently are a PC fanboy. If you've never dealt with Apple support in the stores, how would you know? They are some of the best techs in the business.

Well, I hope I win.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
