you know you are a final fantasy fan when the first thing you notice is the words "phoenix down"
skimming through the comments i noticed everyone that disses winmo gets downranked.. just throwing my cents out there but i work for a cellular company, and most of us dislike winmo. face the facts guys, the operating system is buggy. its SLOW. it lags, freezes up, and corrupts crap more than any other mobile OS out there. you'll have your winmo fanboys, but i think the consumer speaks when most of them that come into store complain about how slow it is. Ive always been willing to give winmo a chance, but theyve not only taken for EVER to push out 6.5, whos to say when winmo 7 will actually come out. with android already working hard on 2.0, winmo is slowly losing its place.
i think the g1 is pretty spiffy but im not switching to tmo for it sorry >
i like the diamond/pro both, and as much as its killing me, i will be waiting for the pro :). none-the-less these two phones are HOT

wow i like how much love this thread has gotten already. To keep everyone updated, OUR SPRINT DATABASE SPREADSHEET shows the diamond to still show a 9/2 launch.

HTC Touch Diamond MP6950SP 9/2/2008 Touch

As far as the Herman, or touch pro, or w/e you want to call it, I see nothing as of quite yet, but i'll be sure to keep you guys updated :).
update: checked a device calendar and so far the diamond shows available approx 9/2/08. of course these things may change. hope this helps :)
i would like to know what all is in the works. i work for a call center and i like to get info out to our agents ASAP. we currently show the RazR VE20 (i believe a PTT razr) and the katana Eclipse in the device launch for aug. 17th. But this does all seem completely believable about the Touch Diamond...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
