The pricing hasnt really been announced just yet. Vodafone is being tight lipped about it. They are looking to keep any kind of pricing policy away from Airtel's ears.
Word is that the 8gb version will run about 20000 INR and the 16gb an additional 5-6000.
Thats what it says on the website but the guys from the industry are saying that Vodafone will get about 10 days lead time on Airtel which means Airtel will only launch on the 2nd.
Vodafone has the launch date as 22nd August in India. Airtel is said to be launching only on the 2nd of September.
Vodafone seems to be getting priority because of its international connections.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
