Tasers are one of the best inventions for law enforcement since the handheld radio. Tasers have substantially reduced deaths and injuries to suspects and officers alike. Having the option to use a less than deadly force option gives choices for the officer that previously had only a choice to go hand to hand, use blunt force, or shoot a suspect. Subsequently injuries and deaths have reduced significantly since tasers have been deployed. If you want an education read the NCJRS website study or the IACP study.
