A pair of investment firms have agreed to acquire Alltel Corp., the fifth-biggest U.S. wireless company and owner of the nation's largest geographic network, in a deal worth $24.8 billion.

The telecommunications company announced Sunday that it had signed an agreement to be acquired by TPG Capital, formerly Texas Pacific Group, and GS Capital Partners, a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs. The investors agreed to pay $27.5 billion and take on Alltel's $2.7 billion in debt.

As i stated before, this is nothing more than a color change. After even more research, the v3xx is not looking to be video share capable anytime in the near future. However, the rebranded SYNC is now video share capable. It is limited with the following post going into more details http://www.m4um.com/Cell/post-34.html . I also recieved the dummy phones this week, and none of them have any white marks of any sorts on them. Look closely.
It seems a great photoshop was done, as this dummy model has no camera in the black bar. The only difference on the v3XX gold is the color and price.
Well, as it stands, the only definate is the Nokia 6126. As stated before these were released today, however, its doubtful its a "basic" phone. In reguards to the pricing? 300$ possible cost means 3G, 1.3 MegaPixel Camera, Bluetooth, and possibly Myspace Mobile built in? Who knows what else this baby has in its basket, but from the slim display, and slip resistant back, Nokia did this one up nicely. I took a few photos of the phone.

Well Well, seems we have a all out war. I have tmobile currently, and dropped calls are a major issue. As for what cingular does with phones and plans. They work with you on overage, they backdate plans, they still activate unlocked phones, and the overage is negligable with 7-7 nights and weekends and rollover. All in all, they have a better network, and the phones they offer have the same features and then some that any other carrier has. The 8125... thats just a laptop in a cell. So many things it does, and its a great phone to talk on as well (Bluetooth). Verizon, meh, let them delve out thier lgs 5 for price of one, as lg phones suck, and your stuck with that issue with verizon. Sprint... wow, since the merger, you have had more dropped calls, more customer relation issues than i have ever seen. GG?
Cingular should be ramping out a release in mid August. They are ramping out the push to talk currently, and the Razr v3i is sorta on the backburner. As for the colors and prices.. we still havent got all that info at the retail locations.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
