Out here in Eastern NC it's wierd. Alltel's coverage is alot better in the "sticks" then Verizon. The only other carrier out here that is better then Alltel is US Cellular.
The Blackberry Curve 8330
I have an 8330 with US Cellular and I talked to the people at my store and asked them if they would be coming out with the Storm and they told me, "No". But they did tell me that they did see something about a CDMA version of the Bold coming by the spring. I'm a Crackberry fanatic and will not upgrade until a new Blackberry comes out on US Cellular. By the way my US Cellular 8339 already has version 4.5
I will be taking of week of vacation to wait on line for the Iphone Shuffle. Let's make it a party
This is just what is needed in a feature phone. A solid gaming platform, and multimedia capabilities
BlackBerry is an instant on OS too. I have a BlackBerry Curve 8330 with Us Cellular and a Palm Centro with Verzon, I love them both
I have a Verizon Blitz, the Blue one. I love it, it is reliable sounds good and has a nice screen.
Remember that most people do want to just do the things they want to do with there phones. IE, make phone calls, text, light web surfing. The don't want to develop apps for it, change the configuration of the phone, defrag the hard drive, try out a new word processor, ect.... People just wanna turn it on an do what they gotta do. Maybe this is Sprint's rational here, after all they are not marketing cell phones to budding application developers or those that want a mini phone laptop, maybe the wanna make sure it intuitive.
Might not catch on here (in the US), most of the major carriers Verizon, Altell, Att, etc... do not require a deposit or credit check on there data cards and already offer unlimited plans and "free" cards.
Not actually an internet connection, and you have to designate what phones are authorized to use the Airrave.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
