I doubt this will fly. A 160 char SMS, even with lets say 20 space characters, will still cost Rs. 1.40 while the other carriers charge between Rs. 0.25 & Rs. 0.50 for an outgoing message. Heck, a local voice call costs between Rs. 0.50 & Rs. 1 per minute, so nobody would like paying more than Rs. 1 for a local SMS!
Well, those devices whose fakes are made in China aren't patented or copyrighted in China so they can't legally go after chinese fakes in China. But this company holds the patent in China so they can go after anyone violating it in China, no?
Didn't people say that when Netscape went out of business & Internet Explorer won the 1st round of desktop browser war 10 years ago? And didn't Firefox kicked everyone's sleeping a** when it came out?
Right now its between PIE & Opera Mobile on the mobile platform. PIE is only for Windows Mobile while Opera Mobile isn't free (though it has a free version but it ain't anywhere near real deal).
I think that when Mozilla's mobile browser will come in the market (expect a few name changes, it was called Minimo till a few days back, don't think current name of Fennec will stick) it will bring a kind of revolution. And I think Opera will be forced to change their business policy & offer the browser for free (like they ended up doing with desktop version).
Not re-engineered the plastic - they will invent the plastic - a new substance that came out of years of research, an Apple innovation!! ;)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
