Whats with the messed up pixelation on this image? I mean it kinda looks like they are bluring out something, but its all vertical and not placed ina very good-for-displaying-info manner.
No wonder Palm has been hacking in support for iTunes and not writing their own program, their coders can't code worth crap.
@CarpeD1em500

Market Share.
- What does this have to do with anything? Apple isn't trying to dominate the market with OS X, they are trying to make money. Their approach seems to work quite well. Its not an indicator of the "winner"

Application Support.
- Last time I checked all the applications I needed work on my Mac, including important ones like FinalCutPro, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office. You're right I don't get the latest games, which if its important to you so be it, but thats what my 360 is for.

Ratio of overall App Support vs. Stability
- You're kidding right?

Creator was never fired from company.
- First, what does this have to do with which OS is better.
- Second, he was brought back and saved the company from failure.
- Third, the OS they have NOW is based on the OS he created at NeXT, so um, its a good thing he went there and started that.

Overall flexibility of the OS.
- Nice vague statement that provides no evidence in support of it being a better/worse choice for anyone. Hooray for empty fanboy lines!

Reputation within the business world.
- Um, do you realize the reputation Windows has in the buisness world? I really don't think you do, elsewise you wouldn't be making this argument.

Integration with Xbox.
- Funny, I use my Mac to share stuff with my xBox all the time...

Look, if you want to prefer Windows, go right ahead, thats cool, its nice when people have choices and stuff. But when you troll around claiming you are better than others because your choice is different then theres without any substantive difference to support your conclusion or serious criteria to base it on, fanboy talking points instead, well, it pretty much makes no one take you seriously. Go troll somewhere else like Gizmodo dude.

Its also obvious you entirely missed the point of the new site update, but hey maybe you can go integrate your PC with your xbox somemore...
Just because YOU don't care doesn't mean other people don't or that its not a deal breaker for them. For me the ability to use both at the same time has come in handy on any number of occasions. Everyone has tradeoffs and its fair to point them out. If Verizon wants to reassure me that I can get 3G coverage in rural Montana (even though I'll probably never need it) thats cool too, because for someone else it might be important.
Want simultaneous voice AND data? There's a map for that, and Verizon's is completely blank.

Just sayin :)

P.S. AT&T coverage still sucks
That analysis makes no sense. Casual gamers aren't REPLACING hard core gamers, its not a zero sum game. If sales are still strong among the hard core, and then you ADD some sales among casual gamers, the numbers should go up. If the numbers go down, that means that hard core gamers are not buying as many games either.

Maybe sales are down because people don't have as much money. Maybe sales are down because fewer must get games came out in october. Or people are waiting for price drops/holiday sales/bundles etc. I'd believe those are more important than casual gamers magically causing everyone else to buy less.

Yet another analyst who doesn't have a clue. Must be a job requirement.
Wow, a survey thats negative about Apple product users from a site that is hostile towards Apple? Next you are going to tell me that Rush Limbaugh doesn't like the President!
The QUE is fine if its what you are in the market for, but I don't want something that big to read off of, most books are smaller sized and therefore easier to read and hold, an 8x11 screen means an even larger device, not very useful for casual reading, but great for buisness use, which is where its being targeted. I'm looking forward to my nook, I don't need excel or word docs.
There is nothing the Kindle does that the nook doesn't do, why they Kindle love? Especially since the nook has more features and doesn't waste space on a tic-tac keyboard or use a proprietary format.
@duke:

Are you kidding? Did they put a gun to your head and force you to buy it? I mean gosh, how DARE a company release new models of their product with different features. Those BASTARDS!

The people whining about this would probably be the same ones whining if Nintendo only stuck with the original DS model and didn't make any changes.

Either buy it or don't, it still works with all your old games, and practically all new games still work with your current DS. Its not greedy to make new/updated products, its called staying in buisness.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
