No, it's a reference to a really stupid commercial that Three Panel Soul also made fun of.
@Darkfocus: Correct, for the most part. But in the US and some other countries, the DMCA (or local equivalent) prohibits hacks and mods that will circumvent copy protection or DRM. Since the Homebrew Channel can be used for that, it can conceivably be an illegal mod in the US and some other countries.

Both the Conservatives and the Liberals in Canada have put forth bills similar to the DMCA and they've only been defeated because parliament ended before they could be put to a final vote. It's quite possible that this situation could happen here too, even with the minority government, since it has cross-party support.
@Sly: They might not be able to ticket you for the cursing (depending on local bylaws, which may or may not hold up in court if you're willing to fight them), but you're basically attracting their attention and asking for trouble. Most cops are bullies, and if they can't ticket you for that, make no mistake, they will find some reason to give you trouble and shut you up.
Are there any specs available for this thing yet besides the screen and the OS? It looks interesting.
I missed that part of the news. The Damned are pretty good, I'm actually kind of stoked on this week's release now.
Yes, as long as nobody makes a sequel to that shitty Stallone movie, we'll all be happy.
After Chris Hansen catches you, you gotta change it up for a bit.
To everyone saying what a great shooter Shadowrun was, please stop. Seriously, I'm sure Shadowrun for the 360 was an amazing arena shooter, but the problem is it had the Shadowrun name attached. That means it had this huge world with a deep back story as well as a strong fanbase, and instead of using that to make an awesome single player game with a lot of depth, they turned it into just another multiplayer FPS. It was a complete waste of the franchise and that's why people were so disappointed. If that multiplayer had been just a mode within a bigger single player game, it probably would have sold way more and you'd hear far less bitching about the game. But it wasn't. It was nothing more than Unreal Tournament with trolls. If you don't get why Shadowrun fans were disappointed by that, you have to be retarded in some way.
For the Canucks here, they'll ship these games to us too. With shipping and import fees, this winds up being only a little cheaper than buying up here, but I still saved $10 on 3 games I was going to buy compared to buying them in Canada, and that was after shipping, import fees, and the exchange rate. Plus, that import fee will be (partially) refunded if it comes out to less than I was charged at purchase.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
