the secret is already on the at&t rebate
I wasn't referring to the iphone being free. I'm talking about how everyone expects phones like blackberries, wm smartphones, etc to be free.

Funny you mention that because I actually had a customer get mad at me when I told them the iphone wasnt free and they actually had to pay for it. They got even more pissed with me when i told them about the $30 dolars a month extra for the iphone.

People in other countries have no problem shelling $500-600 for a phone because they haven't been spoiled by the word "free".

Gone are the days of every low end phone is free because the low ends are being replaced by high ends. Phones do more than they ever did and because of that, the price goes up. Its called economics.
This really pisses me off. As a retailer for At&t, we apparently aren't allowed to carry it according to Apple. I think its funny that Steve Jobs doesnt trust retailers but will put his full faith in hoping someone with a 4th grade education at the desk at wal mart is smart enough to activate an iphone. Don't get me started on how many wal mart customers i get with problems.

Since its release, my store's numbers have been in the fucking toilet because that's all everyone wants. And i blame the American consumer too for being so stupid, (Nothing against iphone people), just the pompus idiots who come in my store demanding the fucking thing. Not asking for it, demanding it. You'd think the phone is the second coming of christ or something. Don't get me wrong, I think the iphone is a wonderful device that has paved the way for a new generation of phones and development of new applications (Shazzam is awesome).

In this day and age, it just annoys me that people think they're entitled to everything for free for some god damned reason. News flash motherfuckers, things cost money.
Well the design is for the blind genius. Of course those who can see it wont find it asthetically pleasing seeing as the design is for function not looks.
4G......Cough..Cough......LTE...Cough...Cough.........
God, I love all these apple fanboys. i totally agree with fam113. Congratulations, you bought the new "razor" that everyone has to have. I have nothing against iphone users, just the ones that won't shut up about them.

We should give all you fuckers your own little country/island so that the rest of us don't have to hear about your little toy.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
