Release date is supposed to be March 15th, along with the Palm Pro.

In the pic, it shows 3G, not EVDO on the internet connection (notice the lightning bolts?)
I can confirm this; it happened nationwide this morning. Not too bad of a VSP, but I feel sorry for even more jobs eliminated.
I love how the phones show "Ready," which for any of you Nextel (or former) people know, that means the service isn't activated!! lol

That's as bad as the LG banners Sprint would display in their stores a few years back that showed no bars of service. Hey, at least it wasn't false advertising!!
Something is fishy on the math.....

$1.2 bil / 8000 = $150000/year/person. Retail workers are making $30k-$50k, so your telling me that most of corp Sprint personal are making +$250,000/year!?! And THAT math only works if they're trimming 50/50 between retail & corp!! More than likely, I'd say 60% of the cut is retail which means the adv salary of a corp Sprint employee is over $300,000/year!!!

No wonder they're in trouble.......
Um, it officially releases Sunday. Why act like its not? I played with one at a Sprint corp store yesterday even!!
Sega Nomad would have been a better reference....
What's the point of a PDA w/o a data plan? I agree w/VZ here....
In the words of Steve Martin:

"What the hell is it?"
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
