Gee. Only a year too late to keep me around.
what I want is a battery cover that will contain my 2500 mah battery; you should see the ill-fitting joke that came with it!
I would LOVE those! New HTC Touch Pro needs 'em!
just bought one. I found a big honkin' 2500 mah battery on Ebay AND confirmation that it (the battery) was available at wholesale level from Asia; that solved my big worry about battery life. $250 after rebate with 2 year commitment.
any real-world comments on battery life?
so, it's a race for my 300 or 400 bucks. Treo Pro or the Touch Pro. Verizon won't have either until the second Obama-Biden term, so I'm off to ATT or Sprint.
I'll be looking at camera rez, apps like media player (does it play internet radio? Is it better than Kinoma? Isn't everything better than Kinoma???) and alarm clock, voice recorder (my Treo 700 voice recorder app sounds like crap) and memo.
The PIM section has to be easy to use and sync with my Mac. Most important to me, if all the other stuff is equal?

BATTERY LIFE
Because having the world's greatest phone sucks if it's dead.
I can use up a 3200 maH battery in one day...I appreciate the elegant one-piece back and all, but an elegant one-piece back'd phone THAT DIES BY LUNCH TIME isn't worth jack to me. Palm needs to look at the old VW pop-top campers- when you need more space, you need more space.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
