@nikescar I certainly hope mine ships Tuesday, I ordered the day it was announced so I should have priority over people who ordered closer to Nov. 20. I also got the email saying I should get it before Dec. 9 and that they upgraded me to overnight shipping, and are giving me a $10 gift certificate. If they do indeed ship it Tuesday I should still get it by Wednesday,
@kwest I am in the same boat as you guys. I really hope they don't drop the ball on this one.
@DaHauns That makes the camera controls completely inaccessible, again rendering this design useless.
Yep I was playing around with one Wednesday. Couldn't play anything, though.
This was Amazon's Deal of the Day weeks ago. Stop reporting old news like it just happened.
My mom and stepdad are the most computer illiterate people know, and they have never received a virus. They're the kind of people who open and forward a lot of email attachments but even they can tell the difference between a virus and a funny picture. Even more surprising, though, is the fact that they've never even gotten a virus forwarded to them via email.

My dad and stepmom, on the other hand, both bought into the hype and switched all their computers over to Macs. My dad now has an iMac and a unibody MacBook, and my stepmom has a last-gen MacBook Pro. My stepmom hasn't had problems but she's always complaining about the software she had on Windows and can't use anymore, like Quicken. My dad had a major hard drive problem with his MacBook which he took to the Apple Store to get fixed. The so-called "genius" there had to replace the entire hard drive and did not even try to copy his data to the new hard drive. It would have taken all of 10 minutes to do with a USB-SATA cable, something every computer repair place should have. His only other option would have been to buy another external hard drive (the one he has is full and used for Time Machine on his iMac) and copy the data to that, then copy it back later. Talk about poor customer service. I'm glad I'm a Windows user, and I don't have to put up with any af the BS he had to go through.
This trailer made me want to dig out my LEGO Creator CD and install it. I just hope it runs on Windows 7.
Anyone else notice the "Nintendo DS" logo at teh end of the video? Have there been any announcements as to a DS Rock Band game at all?
I guess I don't see why this is special. WHen I worked at Target, I would see exotic cars all the time; Vipers, Ferraris, Bentleys, Maseratis, Rolls Royces, SL 65 AMGs, NSXs, Excaliburs, and 911 GT3s, just to name the ones I can remember. And it's not like I live in Beverly Hills or anything, I live in a mostly redneck populated county in Florida. I don't see why the kind of people who took these cars to Target wouldn't take them to Wal-Mart as well.
James, way to read the actual post. The point of this entry is that a video was made from the pictures that were posted previously. It's pretty clear if you were to just read the damn text, instead of jumping to the comments button.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
