Um, Engadget is talking about Telus' iDen BB lineup, not their CDMA line. It's ok, I looked at their site before finishing the article, and had the same thought. Then I figured out that "Mike" must be Telus' iDen company, like Nextel and Sprint.
I have the Blackjack II as well. I was considering trying Symbian and getting at&t's Nokia E71x, but they cut the talk time in half, and I realized just how much I need WinMO for work and play, so I think this will be the phone for me, too.
I need one of these for work. My Blackjack II is dying of old age and overuse.
Is Sony(Ericsson) manufacturing it? Hopefully it's a better product than some of their phones.
Yay! At last,a new Symbian phone for at&t! It's been, what,a year and a half since att picked up an S60? Not as cool or high end as
att's last S60,the N75,but still cool. No wifi as far as I know, but a step in the right direction.
I sell at&t for a certain company and have been sick of selling Palms,BBs and WinMo.
Don't get me wrong,I don't have anything against WinMo or Blackberry, but there's a better OS out there at&t!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
