I updated my 2G iphone from firmware 2.0.1 (unlocked and jailbreak) to 2.0.2 using itune. What happened is that the new firmware 2.0.2 erase my installer, but my iphone still unlocked. I used quickpwn (window version) to jailbreak my iphone. Works like a charm.

I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body.
