No comparison to my recently bought DELL Latitude XT2 12-inch A4-size multitouch convertible with day-light-viewable display which I can use outdoors.
Great Scot! My ultimate device! I still use my Jornada 690 handheld PC what was released for ca. 800 EUR in 1998.
From my perspective the Jornada 690/720 keyboard is still the reference model for mobile devices.
I will not compromise keyboard or touchscreen. The viliv S7 is small enough to fit into the pockets, an A5-size netbook will not do that.

I will buy the flagship model in case the provide a german or at least a european keyboard. (Because of the ä,ö,ü we often have in german words.)
I have looked for a convertible in order to replace my Jornada 690 and Libretto ff1100v. This Viliv S7 has a good form factor (smaller than 12cm) so one can shift it into a pocket, somewhere between Jornada (up to 10cm) and Libretto ( up to 15cm). The Fujitsu Lifebook U820/2010 is full of features, but the form factor is slightly too big (up to 14cm) for carrying it in a pocket. A Viliv with U820 features would be even better (GPS, 1200x800), but the S7 is very good designed.

Wann, wo, wie viel?
I am looking for a phone watch, because I can have the phone everywhere with me without thinking so much.
Otherwise my mobile phone had to be
- rugged,
- loose-proof,
because I am frequent traveler.

My ideal phone watch would have
- Bluetooth with headset for hands-free-speaking
- an email client, maybe with push-mail features,
- dual SIM both online
- NO camera (for security purposes)
- NO voice recorder.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
