@phillip yes it does make sense that they haven't included it. Making the g1 redraw the map every time it perceives any rotation would make battery life and other aspects of the phone's existence cry home to its mommy.
Do what I do: Be like a pirate, and switch use the compass app in conjunction with the maps app. :P
I noticed a similar wallpaper on the phone in engadget's Blackberry Storm review.
Anyone have any idea where these wallpapers come from? I've looked all over for them. Originally I thought it was a default storm wallpaper, but a similar wallpaper on the pre I'm guessing it isn't.
I'm really looking forward to this phone now, though I might still wait for a later xperia phone that isn't windows based... I'm glad they fixed the lag, that was worrisome. Also the standard headphone jack (while kind of expected) is a new thing for SE phones which I will greatly appreciate...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
