Hi. Zephyr Technology sell a great BT HRM and HxM (does speed & distance as well) now. The devices work with RunGPS, and come with an SDK if any developers want to port the devices data to their mobile apps.

Check the products out at
http://www.zephyrtech.co.nz/products/consumer/hrm and

Also of note - there is an open source project using these devices - access it through "Latest news" on http://www.zephyrtech.co.nz/

Cheers!
Hi all. I may have missed this in the discourse so far - has anyone considered putting heart rate into a Wii game? There must be a way to do this easily given the Wii has a BT interface (I think - feel free to correct me). Has anyone come across anything like this to date? It seems like a logical extension to the Wii fit side of the device/game family.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
