The ONLY companies I see blasting the television airwaves with UNLIMITED data is Verizon and Sprint. AT&T has changed the plan to a 5G plan and states it CLEARLY. Not to mention the fact that AT&T offered to credit the lady for her bill. Next someone will sue McDonalds for making them fat because they ate too many delicious Big Macs......oh, wait someone tried that already too.
What is so hard to understand haters? The Bold was NEVER to be launched at the begining of this year. RIM sells more Blackberries with AT&T then any other carrier. Their reputation is as solid as any other manufacturer. The device was actually scheduled for January 09 according to AT&T but they have decided to step it up prior to the holiday season, but again due to the amount of new devices being launched within the same time period the testing process has taken longer than usual.
Actually, it has ALWAYS been standard policy for AT&T to test ANY new device for an additional 400 hours on their network, with their technicians. The delay is more than likely due to the amount of new devices launching this quarter (and therefore being tested) and the amount of qualified testers. Not to mention that the Oct. 2nd launch was announced by RIM, NOT AT&T.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
