@gerrrg The Pre has long passed the 1 million mark. And there are more than 800 apps in the App Catalog. Just FYI. If you are going to make a point it is good to partially know some facts.
Love it. Really excited for Palm. Also John Rubinstein confirmed 1.3.5 for this month that removes the App Limit, Adds speed, and performance. Ill take it!!
@cyclepipe I think that might just be the microphone. I think it is in a good place if it is.
@(Unverified) I disagree. I think both Android 2.0 and WebOS have a better experience than iphone OS. Sure the iPhone has more apps, but the OS is old, boring, and ugly.
This is what Boy Genious is saying:

Here’s what we’ve got: a clear explanation from a VZW connect that outlines how the OTA updates work for the Motorola DROID. At noon today, approximately 1,000 people received the notification to update their handset. At around midnight this evening, 9,000 more will receive it. After the initial 10,000, there is a 48-hour waiting period. No one after that receives anything until December 10th at 12AM, which will be 200,000 people. It will continue at 200,000 devices a day until everyone is updated.
I am eagerly waiting for my update. I do wish Android had 2.0.1 on every device... sucks only us droid users get it. What happens next year? Droid won't get updated anymore but whatever else is new will??
I think it looks awesome. I love Google Chrome browser for sure. And a netbook with Chrome OS or even a Mac with it. Would be awesome for sure.
Nice. WebOS 1.3.1 has a ton of cool new features. I love it. Feels a little faster.
The performance is actually really good out of the box but not in this video. Palm suggests only running about 4 apps for optimal performance and in this video they have 6 open. Plus the App Catalog really hogs resources compared to other apps. The Pixi has a slower chipset than the Pre so... WebOS 1.3.1 I Think will be pretty fast.
WebOS already had facebook in synergy back at CES in January 09... How could it hhave copied the Hero???? Makes no sense. Anyway this is exciting. App Catalog is out of beta next month and WebOS 1.3 is coming this week. Exciting stuff.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
