much overrated, agreed. but just give it some time... there will probably be pinch to zoom on the US droid at some point, officially, or unofficially.
yea no BB in San Francisco knows of this yet either.. hopefully they will by the time i get out of work.
this is great news! hopefully they will release it officially soon. my unlocked hero should be in on thursday! i'll wait for the official update because i've been hacking my g1 to be more like this phone.. i'll wait and just make it easier for myself. Good work HTC!
they do mention multi-touch, but as cyanogen has mentioned, there is no support in the new android code for multi-touch, just the kernal. so it may be a bit longer till we see it. but with all the guys over at xda, we'll see it soon enough.
that's absurd. Google is eventually going to own the world, and apple doesn't have the muscle to do a thing about it. i don't hate the iphone by any means, but how'd apple feel if google told them that they could no longer use their applications on their phone? Then again, hardware aside, the possibilities of android are limitless, and we'll start seeing better phones, and 'work-arounds' in the near future.
i'd like to see a capacitive screen and android as well, other than that.. maybe add another row for numbers.
hope this phone is easily portable to android.. now that would be called a DREAM phone.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
