I'm a graphic/interactive designer myself, 7+years professional experience. I trained for 4 years on Mac OS9 then OSX so believe me I know what I'm talking about. PC's are far better machines on a dollar to performance ratio, Macs don't even come close. For less than half the price of a Mac Ican configure a beast of a machine that'll outperform and outlast any Mac at the same price point. Another fact: Adobe products (especially those acquired from Macromedia) are all optimized to run far better on PC's than Macs and have been for years. More recently, have you used 64-bit PSCS4? Windows only my friend, and NO BENCHMARKS on any Mac will even come close. I operate exclusively on PC's and can bang out design comps just as good as anyone on a Mac can. With Apple, you're paying for the brand, nothing more...they've just got a killer marketing team that over the years (and partly due to Microsoft's silence until recently) have brainwashed most of the less tech-savvy into thinking Apple=Nirvana.
