I'm still happy with my 50" SXRD Sony slim rear-projection set that I bought about 3 years ago. Funny thing is, it has a better picture than a lot of sets that are coming out even today. It's a shame that Sony had to discontinue this superior picture quality technology in favor of slim sets just because people want to buy a TV that they can hang on a wall.

The only thing that I've seen that is comparable in Sony's other sets is in their XBR 8 and 9 series, all of which are 3-4 times the price for a comparable sized set. In terms of other manufacturers, only Pioneer had them beat with their KURO lineup. It's a shame that they (Pioneer), too don't make them any more!
Nice! They also provided an inquiry into that fucking 1.99 internet charge because you accidentally hit a button and are instantly charged before you can cancel.

Here, frigid generally means extremely cold. I know where you were going with that, but it's not the context they were using here.

This just in:

I have to poop
I wonder if these things will fit inside the hand-warmer compartment in my motorcycle gloves?
I don't know how people can think that a phone's GPS is superior to a dedicated device. Phones don't even rely on satellites when navigating; rather, they rely on your position to the nearest tower when triangulating your position on a map. When you don't have cell service, you don't have GPS service. GPS devices work off of satellite reception, so you can use them in places you could never conceive of using a cell phone
@Mach

When did companies start making USB systems? I haven't used an actual computer speaker set up in so long because I have monitor speakers hooked up to a stereo receiver under my desk.
Hey, at least it isn't BOSE.

Does anyone else besides me think that deck is rather "bland"?
OMG, over twelve-thoussand comments! I could really use one of these.... but alas, I'll never win ANY of these Engadget contests!

Maybe some day I can hope....
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
