Non removable battery and SD card slot....... revolutionary features for $1700

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

if you think thats bad, check out the UK pricing;

$1,699: 2.53GHz Core 2 Duo, 4GB DDR3 RAM, GeForce 9400M graphics, 250GB HDD, SD card slot, no ExpressCard

$1699 = £1057 (according to checking conversion rates 5 mins ago)

however the price for the exact same unit in UK is ............£1299

£1299 = $2087......

no I know there is normally a hike we get screwed on when living in UK....... but that nearly $400

....seriously WTF?
Walt Mossberg interrupted a review of another handset and told people to hold off buying a Palm Pre.....

........for this?!?!?

what kind of weak journalistic intergrety is that, how does that guy even still have a job? has he got tenure or something?
same battery????

.......NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooo!!!!!!!!
actually O2 and Vodafone have recently agreed/confirmed a network sharing deal to improve coverage (where tbh between teh two of them they easily had teh best coverage in the UK as it is)

here's hoping the same thing as hawaiipoolman

but not sure if we'll see it due to this;

http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/03/hands-on-with-asus-eee-keyboard/

- i know that theres a difference with the eee keyboard actually being a computer as well but its close enough that i think apple may shy away from it which would suck as I'm sure there are a lot of ppl who want to take advantage of teh increaing number of multitouch features that OSX presents but dont wanna have to buy a whole new laptop to take advantage of
why no pics of the keyboard or web browser?
this kind of European pricing is exactly why Sony is led themselves to such high profit losses

- because there is trying to position yourself as a premium brand....

...... and there is attempting to a**-rape your own consumers to the extent where you completely price yourself out of the competition.
Hi there,

I realise that this may not be the best place to ask and that there is most likely no real hope as numerous intarweb searches have revealed little or perhaps have but the solutions been over our heads,

but a good friend of mine has lost the contact details he had stored in address book pretty much after an phone/isync backup gone wrong.

from what I can tell it seems as if isync had copied the black address book from his phone and overwrote the entries that were saved.

it seems that he doesn't have any spare drives so hasn't been using time machine

does isync make multiple backups that you can choose to restore to like itunes does for iphones/ipods or is it a "current version = only version" situation

- is there any way to retrieve this short of finding a Delorean and hitting 88 miles an hour?

if anyone knows anything about this or has been in a similar situation can you please post what ever you know.

Regards.

"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
