Well at least I'll have satisfaction in knowing that I made the right decision in not waiting for this to come to the US. T-Mobile has the worst 3G coverage of all wireless carriers. Had this come out on Verizon I'd be hating my Droid right about now.
@mikez52
It still says "might" be easily upgradeable.
@Ezye1313
I guess that confirms the Droid's coming to AT&T then.
OK the OLED screen makes me drool but Android isn't a deciding factor. After having the Droid since it's release I have to say that I'm as perfectly happy with Windows Mobile. At least I don't have to root a Windows Mobile phone to do anything interesting with it.
Hey guys can I join your band? I play the Droid, I hope that isn't a problem.
@drakino
You keep making the same old tired argument about what Microsoft almost "did". Let's not get into your complete misunderstanding of what they almost "did", or the fact that Apple actually "did" do this.
The EU should not be judging Microsoft (or any company) for something they once did in the past for something as arbitrary as including their browser with their OS. I mean we could go on and on about the atrocities that, Apple, IBM, and others have committed. What should be in the EU's decisions is what's going on right now. They are not a court of law, they are union of European countries trying to lookout for the best interests of those countries.

And your cute little example still doesn't mean the iPod is not a monopoly. By your example Windows is not a monopoly either, because I can go into any big box electronics store and walk out with a non Microsoft computer. You do realize you've made the same exact argument that everyone's been saying about this whole deal; IE is not a monopoly because I can easily download any other browser. It doesn't take away the fact that Apple is stifling competition by not allowing any other media players to sync with the largest online and offline music vendor. It doesn't take away the fact that Apple is stifling competition by not allowing other companies to license their FairPlay DRM to allow the other companies to play the media that was once bought bought from the largest music vendor. It doesn't take away the fact that Apple is forcing you to use QuickTime with iTunes.

If you don't get my point, it's that either all companies should be forced to play by the same rules or that the rule should be taken away.
So when are they going to force Apple to give you a ballot screen of music players when you first connect your iPod? You know the one place where Apple has a monopoly.
When are they going to force Apple to allow you to delete QuickTime?
These are clear areas where Apple is forcing you to use one product (iTunes/QuickTime) because of the monopoly of another product (iPod/iTunes). Isn't that the whole problem people are having with IE?

I'll tell you when, never. Those above situations match everything you say is the reason Microsoft is being forced to do this with IE, but has the EU even batted an eye about this? Instead they freak out about price disparity between EU countries (and rightfully so).
@pika2000
Do you really think Creative is going to facilitate your illegal downloading of movies?
@insky
Also,
Holy Crap! When did Microsoft add streaming music from the web for Zune Pass owners? I've been waiting this for forever at work.
Sorry, Lala I didn't really use you much anyways.
There goes my Lala account.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
